Earn a Referral Commission From IAZ Photo Studio: $100 for Partner Businesses, $50 for Past Clients

Two ways to earn a referral commission from IAZ Photo Studio

IAZ Photo Studio pays a referral commission when a new client names you at first contact and signs an event contract: $100 per signed event for an approved Arizona event business, and $50 per signed wedding or quinceañera for a past client. The commission is paid by Zelle within 15 days after the event takes place.

These terms are the same on every IAZ Photo Studio site; the original lives on the iazphotostudio.com referral partners page (opens in a new tab). IAZ Photo Studio holds the contract and these terms, never the referrer.

  • Partner businesses earn $100 per referral that signs an event contract.
  • Past clients earn $50 per referral that signs a wedding or quinceañera contract.
  • Both follow the same rules below, except where a line names one of them.

Who can be a partner business

  • An Arizona business whose main work is events: planners and coordinators, venues and reception halls, caterers, DJs and bands, florists, bakeries, makeup and hair, bridal and quinceañera dress shops, invitation designers, rentals, limousine services, and similar.
  • The business shows up in an Arizona public record: an active entity on the Arizona Corporation Commission (opens in a new tab), a trade name registered with the Arizona Secretary of State, an Arizona transaction privilege tax license, or a city business license. IAZ Photo Studio checks the record before approving a partner.
  • A registered business outside the events industry does not qualify, even with a valid registration; a construction company referring a relative's party, for example.
  • IAZ Photo Studio's own companies and their staff do not qualify. Invitaciones Modernas is IAZ Photo Studio's own company, so it is not a referral partner; its banner is an ad, not a referral.

Who can refer as a past client

  • A family or couple that held an event with IAZ Photo Studio: a wedding, quinceañera or other event contract that took place. No business registration needed.
  • Session-only clients (graduation, quinceañera mini-session, engagement session) don't qualify until they hold an event with IAZ Photo Studio.
  • A past client can refer anyone, family included. They cannot refer their own next event; that is a returning client, not a referral.

What earns the commission

  • Partner businesses: a new client signs an event contract (wedding, quinceañera or another event with the $500 deposit) and names the partner at first contact. Photo-and-video, photo-only and video-only event packages all count; the urgent service counts too.
  • Past clients: a new client signs a wedding or quinceañera event contract and names the past client at first contact. Other event types do not earn the $50.
  • Sessions of any kind (quinceañera mini-sessions, engagement sessions, graduation sessions) never earn a commission, for either tier.
  • One commission per signed contract. Adding hours, crew or products to the same event does not add a commission.
  • A new client is a family or couple with no contract or open inquiry with IAZ Photo Studio in the previous 12 months.
  • The referral is valid for 12 months from the day it was recorded.
  • The program starts on its launch date. Referrals made before that date are not paid, because no referrer was recorded at first contact.

How a referral is recorded: at first contact only

Only these two ways count:

  1. The new client names the referrer at first contact: in the "Who referred you?" field of the contact form, or in the first message or call.
  2. A partner business emails corporate@iazphotostudio.com before the client's first contact with IAZ Photo Studio, naming the client and the event date.

A name given later, even before signing, does not count. If two referrers are named, the client's own answer at first contact decides.

What never earns a commission

  • A partner's own event (the partner, its owners or staff as the client, the honoree or the contract signer, or their immediate family), unless the partner already has at least one paid referral on record before signing its own contract. With one, the partner's own event earns the $100 like any other referral, paid after the event.
  • A client who contacted IAZ Photo Studio before the referral was recorded.
  • A referral tied to a review, rating or social media post. IAZ Photo Studio never pays for reviews.
  • Any session booking.

When and how IAZ Photo Studio pays

  • After the event has taken place and the contract was paid in full. IAZ Photo Studio pays within 15 days after the event date.
  • If the event is rescheduled, the commission is paid after the new date. If the client cancels, there is no commission. If IAZ Photo Studio cancels and refunds the client, there is no commission.
  • Zelle only, for both tiers. No checks, no cash, no gift cards.
  • Partner businesses: Zelle to the business's account, after IAZ Photo Studio has the partner's completed Form W-9 on file.
  • Past clients: Zelle to the person who signed the original contract. A W-9 is requested only if a person's payments in one year approach the federal reporting threshold (the accountant's call).
  • The client's price never changes. The referrer may not offer discounts, promise availability or sign anything on IAZ Photo Studio's behalf. Every client gets IAZ Photo Studio's published prices and signs IAZ Photo Studio's contract.

What referrers agree to

  • Tell the person they refer that they earn a referral fee from IAZ Photo Studio. This keeps the recommendation honest, and the FTC's endorsement guides ask for material connections to be disclosed (16 CFR Part 255 (opens in a new tab)).
  • Describe IAZ Photo Studio only with facts from the IAZ Photo Studio sites. The allowed line for a business is "IAZ Photo Studio referral partner"; no IAZ Photo Studio logo, no "official photographer of" claims, no agency or exclusivity claims.
  • IAZ Photo Studio may change or end the program with 30 days' notice. Referrals recorded before the change are paid under the terms in force when they were recorded.

How to apply as a partner business

Partner businesses apply with the form: business name, business type, contact name, email, phone, the Arizona registration (entity, trade name or license number) and a website or profile link. IAZ Photo Studio checks the record and replies within 24 to 48 hours. The same form is on the iazphotostudio.com referral partners page (opens in a new tab). Past clients don't apply: IAZ Photo Studio checks its own event records when a referral names them. Questions go to corporate@iazphotostudio.com.

Questions about the referral program, with worked examples

The partner's own family books: does it pay?

Eventos Luna is a planning business in Mesa and an approved partner. The owner's daughter turns fifteen, and the family books IAZ Photo Studio naming Eventos Luna. If Eventos Luna has already sent IAZ Photo Studio a family whose event took place and was paid, this one earns the $100 too. If Eventos Luna has never sent anyone, no commission: the program pays for bringing other families first. The same test applies when the DJ's brother signs for his own wedding or the venue's receptionist books her own quinceañera.

The client contacted IAZ Photo Studio first: who gets the commission?

The García family fills out the form on March 3 and leaves "Who referred you?" blank. On March 15 a venue coordinator emails corporate@iazphotostudio.com to register the Garcías as her referral. No commission: the family was already a lead twelve days before the coordinator claimed them. On March 20 the García mom says the coordinator sent them. Still no commission: the name has to come at first contact. Two versions do pay: the mom writes the coordinator's business on the March 3 form, or the coordinator emails before the family's first contact.

A past client refers a friend: what is paid?

The Ramírez family held their daughter's quinceañera with IAZ Photo Studio in 2024. Their neighbor is planning a wedding and writes "the Ramírez family" on the form. The neighbor signs, the wedding takes place, and the Ramírez family receives $50 by Zelle within 15 days of the wedding. If the neighbor had booked only an engagement session, nothing is paid. If the Ramírez family books a second event of their own, that is a returning client and earns nothing.

Can a review or a social media post count as a referral?

No. A florist says: "I'll post a five-star review on Google and tag IAZ in my stories. Count it as a referral and send me the $100." The program pays only for a signed event contract that goes through. A review, a rating, a like, a share or a post is never a referral and never gets paid. Google removes reviews that were paid for and can restrict the business profile, and the FTC treats paid reviews as deceptive. A partner can still post about IAZ Photo Studio; they just don't get paid for it.

Does a photo-only or video-only event earn the partner commission?

Yes. For partner businesses, every event contract counts: photo and video, photo only, video only, and the urgent service. For past clients, only a wedding or quinceañera contract earns the $50.

How long is a referral valid?

Twelve months from the day it was recorded at first contact. One commission is paid per signed contract, after the event takes place and the contract is paid in full.

Does the referred client pay more?

No. Every client gets the published prices and signs the same contract. The commission comes from IAZ Photo Studio, and the referrer tells the client about it.

Apply as a referral partner

Partner businesses apply with the form above and their Arizona registration; past clients only need the new client to name them at first contact.
