Frequently Asked Questions About Booking Photo and Video With IAZ Photo Studio
The terms you will find in the contract, answered in plain words
These answers come from IAZ Photo Studio's event contract and its published prices, so what you read here is what you sign. If a question is missing, text (602) 753-7969 and we answer within 24 to 48 hours.

Booking and payment
How much is the deposit and when is the rest due?
A $500 deposit holds an event date; a $150 deposit holds a session. The event balance is paid in installments and in full one month before the event. The session balance is due 48 hours before the session.
Can we pay in installments?
Yes, for events. You choose the installments as long as the full amount is paid one month before the date.
What happens if we cancel?
For events, the $500 deposit is the cancellation fee. Under 4 months before the event, everything paid is lost. For sessions, cancelling forfeits the $150 deposit; rescheduling with 72 hours' notice moves it to one new date within 30 days.
How do we sign?
With a digital contract on your phone through ShutterTerms, in English or Spanish, before the deposit is paid.
Is the price different for Scottsdale?
No. There is no travel fee within 50 driving miles of Tempe, Arizona (I-10 and US-60), and every Scottsdale venue is inside that area. Beyond it, travel is quoted on the full driving distance and agreed in writing before the date.
Coverage on the day
How many hours do the packages cover?
Essential 8, Complete 10 and Deluxe 12 continuous hours for photo and video; photo-only and video-only packages cover 4, 6 or 8 hours. Extra hours are $150 each. Coverage ends by 10 pm.
What if a camera fails?
Every event we film gets two video cameras, so the ceremony and the dances have a second recording and a second angle. The rule comes from a January quinceañera years ago where dust damaged one camera's recording heads and half the picture was lost; we refunded the video and changed how we work.
What if your computer fails during editing?
Every file is copied to three places before an edit starts: the editing station, the studio server and an external drive. An editing computer once died mid-edit; the client still received her film, about two weeks later than planned, because the originals were safe.
How many hours of coverage does a wedding need?
Most weddings fit 8 hours when the ceremony and reception share one venue, and 10 or 12 when they are in two places or the day starts early. How many hours of wedding photo and video (opens in a new tab), on our blog, walks through a timeline hour by hour.
Should we book photo, video or both?
Both from one team costs $255 more than the 8-hour single-service package and adds the second service for the same hours. Photo, video or both (opens in a new tab), on our blog, compares the three choices.
Can we add a second photographer or videographer?
Yes. A second photographer is $500 for the first 4 hours and $125 per hour after; a second videographer is $600 for the first 4 hours and $150 per hour after. Four-hour minimum, never more hours than the package, booked by the final payment date.
Photos, video and delivery
When will I get my photos and video?
You have 4 weeks after the event to select your photos online. Delivery usually takes 2 to 4 weeks for photo only and 4 to 8 weeks for photo and video, counted from your selection. This is our usual pace, not a guarantee; the contract sets the final terms. Sessions are usually delivered in 2 weeks.
How many photos do we receive?
Essential delivers 75 edited photos; Complete and Deluxe deliver every edited photo. You view all event photos in the online gallery and download what your package includes; more photos can be added from the gallery.
Do we get the raw files?
No. A USB with the original unedited photos or videos is available as an add-on for $599 each, subject to delivery conditions.
How long do you keep our files?
One year after delivery. Download and back up your gallery within that year.
Can we print the photos ourselves?
Yes. Digital downloads include permission to print for personal use, and you receive a code for 20% off professional prints ordered through the gallery.
People and places
Who will be at our event?
A photographer and a videographer from the IAZ Photo Studio team, working from the plan set by the studio's directors. IAZ Photo Studio is a team, not one person, so a free crew member covers the date if someone falls ill.
Do you work in Spanish?
Yes. The team works in Spanish and English on the day, and the contract and the galleries come in the language you choose.
Do you cover churches and parks with restrictions?
Yes. We contact the parish or the park before the day and follow its rules; some Scottsdale parks need a photography permit, and permits and admission fees are not included.
Can a minor be photographed alone?
No. An adult must be present with anyone under 18 at every session and event.
